Our newest educator CPD programme is now live.
As part of the Now Then! project happening across Selby, Tadcaster and Sherburn we’ve launched our first educator CPD programme, accredited by the CPD Standards Board. The programme is designed to be completed in your own time and takes approximately two hours.
To obtain your certificate, simply provide a digital file or photo of your completed workbook to hello@artismycareer.org
THE PROGRAMME IS SPLIT INTO FOUR SESSIONS
A greater understanding of the creative sector.
Knowledge on the range of job opportunities within the creative industry.
How the sector is progressing and future predictions.
How you can implement opportunities into daily conversations with young people.
“This is a purposeful, well-aimed programme with a clear line of sight from the content to what a teacher will actually do differently. Section Four is the strongest part: the cross-curricular suggestions (scripting and staging a play to teach a historical period, planning a podcast interview with a historical figure, map making to teach geography, using sound and lyric writing in language learning) are concrete, require little in the way of resources, and are pitched realistically at teachers who have no spare curriculum time. The careers content is genuinely useful.”

Discover 50 creative careers, represented by a Yorkshire based creative in our ‘Top Trumps’ style card game. Funded by Arts Council England and North Yorkshire Council, this game is free for secondary schools based in North Yorkshire.
