The Brief

Become brand guardians for the Choc Affair brand to elevate and increase both retail and trade sales.

The Process

When beginning our work with Choc Affair, our first priority was a full brand audit. Not only did this allow us to get to grips with processes in place, the products and needs of the business, it also gave us a great overview of the brand history. During the audit it was evident that brand consistency and brand elevation had slowed down in previous years.

With a fantastic product, we worked to inject a new lease of life into Choc Affair. Putting new processes in place, updated designs and new product photography.

The Results

We managed to bring Choc Affairs product lines together, bringing unison to product hampers and defining clear product ranges. A refreshed and comprehensive brand guidelines sets the tone for colour palettes, typography, photography and the use of a brand pattern across core ranges to ensure future growth doesn’t allow for inconsistencies to creep in and effect recognisability.

Our work with Choc Affair continues to create an impact, with exciting designs being done ready for Autumn/Winter 2025, we’re excited to see our relationship develop.

Client thoughts…

"Having met Laura presenting at a networking event, we knew she would be a great match for our brand. A skilled and thoughtful designer, she has built a brilliant team of aspiring young and fresh designers, who between them have really got under the skin of our brand, bringing it to life in an authentic and creative way with a real sense of warmth and human connection. I cannot recommend Laura and her team highly enough. ".

THE IMPACT OF THE PROJECT

Molly started her six month internship after finishing her BA (hons) Art & Design degree at Selby College. After focusing on Graphic Design for her final year, Molly is keen to pursue branding as a career focus.

“My time as an intern gave me the opportunity to work alongside an industry-professional, allowing me to gain first-hand experience working as a graphic designer in the industry. During my internship, I learnt how to interpret a brief and create a wide range of designs, expanding my skills and knowledge with each project.

By working on a variety of projects for real clients, I was able to learn how to understand a client’s vision and needs, create effective designs and how to manage my time efficiently. The experience of interacting with clients directly was incredibly valuable as it gave me confidence in both my communication and in my work - something I struggled with beforehand.

The internship also allowed me to improve my design skills, including the use of tools such as Adobe Illustrator. It helped me to gain a strong foundation in design principles, allowing my designing ability to exceed what I thought would be possible in such a short timeframe.”

BECAUSE OF PROJECTS LIKE THIS, WE WERE ABLE TO PAY MOLLY FOR HER INTERNSHIP.
